Heather Gardner has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™(CFP®) in the financial services industry since 2010, joining BEAM in 2021 after working at Merrill Lynch.
Heather also earned the Certified Financial Transitionist® (CeFT®) designation, furthering her education in supporting individuals navigating life transitions. She is especially focused on supporting single, divorced, or widowed women, along with others experiencing significant life changes.
A key value Heather brings to clients, especially individuals managing financial decisions independently, is helping create organization, prioritization, financial clarity, and an understanding of available options during times that can otherwise feel overwhelming. Her goal is to help clients make informed decisions by evaluating financial considerations and potential implications.
Heather takes a holistic approach to financial planning, considering all aspects of a client’s life and broader financial picture. Her process helps clients evaluate both short- and long-term decisions related to wealth preservation and enhancement, retirement and Social Security planning, strategic tax planning, protection planning, wealth transfer, and meaningful philanthropic giving considerations.
Heather is an empty nester and enjoys college football games, boating, running, and volunteering with high schoolers through her local faith community.
“My ability to be relatable, to build bridges and to find common ground with people is a skill that I’ve honed over time and one in which I feel accomplished. With a couple, I take care to make sure that both the wife and the husband are participating and feel included. I have had female clients, both married and single, complement my ability to make them feel comfortable, with some saying it is the first time they have felt that way in a financial advisory setting. Divorced women have a comfort level with me as I share about my sister’s divorce. There is common ground to be found in any person and that builds trust.”
